Hunger Changes The Room | Make Room | Pastor Jonathan Talley

“The room didn’t change when Jesus walked in — it changed when hunger showed up.” This Sunday in Make Room, we were reminded that hunger changes the room. In Mark 5, a crowd surrounded Jesus, but only one woman reached for Him in faith—and power flowed. Proximity wasn’t enough. Attendance wasn’t enough. Noise wasn’t enough. It was hunger that made the difference. We learned that God responds to pursuit, not passivity, and that you can be in the room and still miss the miracle if you’re not reaching. When we shift from spectating to desperation, from routine to faith, the atmosphere changes—and so do we.
